Last Sunday @ Newlife
Last Sunday morning we explored perhaps the most controversial statement that Jesus ever made; that he is the Way, the Truth and the Life – that no-one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:1-6) This the radically exclusive truth about a graciously inclusive God.

AGM and Elder Election Church
Also on Sunday we held the Annual General Meeting of our congregation. The Annual report and Financial Statements of the church were unanimously adopted. We also elected two new Elders, Melanie Forbes and David Armstrong. Please be praying for Melanie and David as they take up their new roles. Minutes of the AGM will be available soon.
In the meantime, if you have not received a copy of the Annual Report, copies are available from the office.

Easter @ Newlife
Easter is almost with us. What a special time of the church year it is as we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and all it means for us and our world! Our theme this year is ‘The Tree’. We will celebrate Good Friday at 7.30am and 9am and Easter Sunday at 7.30am, 9am, 10.45am and 6pm.
On Easter Saturday (April 23) we will be holding our special Family Service at 4pm, lead by our wonderful Kidzlife team.
Specially printed cards promoting our Easter Services are available from the office or the church this Sunday. Why not take some and invite your friends, neighbours and family?

Easter Baptisms
On Easter Sunday afternoon (April 24) we will be offering people the opportunity to publicly declare their faith though baptism, or reaffirmation of baptism. Hundreds of us will gather on the shores of Currumbin Creek to celebrate resurrection faith.
If you would like to be baptised or reaffirm your baptism, email Melissa at melissa.lipsett@newlife.unitingchurch.org.au
*We really need to receive your email by no later than this Saturday as preparation class will take place this Sunday afternoon at 2pm.

This Sunday @ Newlife
This Sunday morning (7.30am, 9am and 10.45am) Orrell will explore Jesus’ claim that he is ‘The Vine’. It is also of course Palm Sunday, so please make sure you are at church on time as we welcome together the King of Glory into our midst.
On Sunday at 12two (6pm) I will be continuing the Red Letter series as we look at Jesus’ radical claim to be ‘the way, the truth and life.’
