Live Wider

On Sunday morning we began a new series exploring what it means to be a Community called 'Live Wider'. Melissa Lipsett kicked off the series with the challenge that we live as a 'one another' community based on God's life together with the Son and the Spirit. If you would like to read the message, or listen to it, just visit our website.

Orrell will be continuing the series this coming Sunday with the challenge that we test the length of Christ's love by reaching out to our wider community.

Stu will also be back on deck after some time in Cambodia with one of our missionaries Jon Morris. Stu will be able to tell us about the work we are involved in, in this part of God's world.

Flood Response

Over $8000 has now been distributed to 7 families directly connected to our own church family who suffered significant losses during the recent floods. A number of these families have contacted us to express their great surprise and gratitude in receiving this unexpected gift. We continue to uphold these families, and all those who have suffered through the recent weather events, in our thoughts and prayers.

Connect and Grow!

Small Groups are all now recommencing after the long Christmas break. It's not to late to be involved. Small groups challenge us to commit to one another, commit to being together, and commit to honour each other. In so doing, we commit ourselves again to God and to learning more about him. Contact melissa.lipsett@newlife.unitingchurch.org.au to be connected with a group. In particular, we have opportunities for young adult couples with a new group commencing for them to be led by Lyndon Mulholland, and also the possibility of a group specifically for adult singles. Let us know if either of these opportunities may work for you.

Women's Ministry

The women of Newlife will start the year in very civilised fashion with a fund raising high tea and a (now famous!) Op Shop fashion parade on Saturday 19th March at 2pm. All funds raised will go to the work of Newlife Care to assist with need in our local Gold Coast community. All women and their friends are very welcome and a great afternoon is assured!
