Thanksgiving Celebration Tonight!

This morning we held the first of our two Thanksgiving Celebrations. We have looked back with gratitude for what God has done and looked forward with anticipation at what God will do in and through our church

If you missed out on attending this morning, it is not too late as we have a second Thanksgiving Celebration tonight at 7.30pm. If you call Newlife your spiritual home, we would love for you to attend if at all possible.

There is no need to RSVP – just come! A light supper will be served.

Pentecost Weekend

What a privilege it was to gather over the weekend to celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. On Saturday many of us engaged in a day of prayer and fasting which culminated with a Prayer Vigil on Saturday night. This was a precious time of communion with God and each other.

On Sunday, across all four services, we celebrated the refreshing and renewing presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Many were ministered to as we opened our lives up to the soaking presence of God.

You can download the audio of my message here.

This Week - Pledge Sunday

This Sunday (June 19) is our Time to Build Pledge Sunday across all services. You should have received at least one Pledge Card. As I hope you already have been, please continue to prayerfully consider what it is God is calling you to contribute to Time to Build. God is already doing a miracle in our midst – make sure you don’t miss out on being a part of it.

Across all our weekend services we will provide an opportunity for people to come forward and place their pledge before God. For those who have already made your pledge (thank you!), we will provide a card that allows you to come forward as an act of worship with everyone else.

This will be a historic, holy and sacred moment in the life of our church. Remember that God is able to do ‘immeasurably more than we ask for or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.’

Tax Deductability

We are delighted to advise that we have received gift recipient status for Time to Build. If tax deductibility is important to you please advise Barry Jeffriess or Ken Bungate.

Hot Chocolate at 7.30am!

Anyone notice that the mornings are getting just a little chilly as winter descends on us? Those of us who attend the 7.30am service certainly have noticed and that is why we are commencing again our free Hot Chocolate ministry as people arrive to worship. So, on the way into 7.30am worship you can grab a Hot chocolate to warm your hands and body.

Celebration!

On Sunday June 26 we will be having one Sunday church-wide celebration commencing at 9am as we celebrate the miracle of God’s provision in our midst. There will be food, fun, worship and celebration for all ages. Please remember that all other services (7.30am, 10.45am and 6pm) will not happen on this day as we come together as a church.
