Building a Life of Purpose
Last week we continued our Time to Build series by exploring what the meaning and purpose of our existence is. Viktor Frankl, who wrote Man’s Search for Meaning, observed that “he who has a ‘why’ to live for can bear almost any ‘how’.” So what is the ‘why’ of life? You can download the audio and text of my message here.
12wo (6pm) picked up the same theme with Ralph exploring the wonderful first question and answer of the Westminster Catechism (What is the chief end of man? Man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy him forever). You can listen to Ralph’s message here.

This Sunday (Remix Sunday)
This Sunday (7.30am, 9am, 1045am, 6pm) we continue our Time to Build journey as we explore the theme of Commitment.
It is also Remix Sunday! We are encouraging you to attend a service you do not normally attend as we celebrate the wonderful diversity of the Newlife community. As a special Remix Sunday treat, 12two (6pm) will also be having cafe immediately following the service.

John and Elin Morris
We are blessed to have our Acts 1:8 mission partners John and Elin Morris and their gorgeous little girl Matea with us. John shared last Sunday across all services and inspired all of us. John will be sharing again this week for an extended time across all four Sunday services. You do not want to miss out!

Kids with Courage
Is your child in grades 2, 3 or 4? Do they have issues with friendships, assertiveness, expressing feelings, anger, grief or self esteem issues? If so, we recommend you sign them up for this wonderful 7 week Lifekeys program. A new course will be running on Mondays in term 3. You can get an enrolment form from Kidzlife or the Newlife Care office. Children from the wider community are especially welcome to join in.

Emergency Food Relief
A heart-felt thanks to all those who generously donate items of food for our emergency relief program. Many families are struggling to make ends meet and after paying bills, sometimes do not have money for food.
A young woman in this situation came into our offices last week and we were able to help with food for a few days. She was so thankful and asked if it would be ok to come in and make a donation when her financial circumstances improved.
Your generosity means that we can give people fresh hope by showing that we care. We are running low on the following items in our stock if you are able to help: Noodles, pasta, pasta sauce, soup, long-life milk, tinned fruit, savoury crackers and instant potato. Just drop them into the office during the week, or the church on Sunday.
