Newlife Uniting Church

Tuesday 2, August 2011

God is Able!

This Sunday morning (7.30am, 9am, 10.45am) we reach the half-way mark in our exploration of Paul’ letter to the Ephesians as we reflect on Paul’s great claim that God is able to do immeasurably more that we ask for or imagine, according to His power that is at work in us. (Ephesians 3:20).  We will celebrate communion and the resurrection power it commemorates.

To prepare for our celebration you may like to view a video I showed a couple of weeks ago in church of a waterfall that flows ‘up’ under the power of a forceful wind.  You can find the link here.

Jesus Undercover

On Sunday night at 12two (6pm) Ralph will begin a new series exploring our incredible privilege and responsibility to share the Good News of the gospel with our world.

Manifold Wisdom

Last Sunday morning Melissa explored the incredible privilege the church has in being the vehicle through which the manifold wisdom of God is made known to our world.  You can read or listen to Melissa’s message here .

Watoto Children’s Choir

WATOTO Children’s Choir from Uganda in East Africa will be at Newlife Uniting Church on Tuesday 9th August 7:30pm.

These 22 children, between ages eight and 13, have been left parentless by things such as war, disease and abandonment.

They are ambassadors for the Watoto Child Care villages in Uganda, Africa, and will use their songs, colourful dancing, African beats and amazing personal stories to offer to Australians a hope that proves one can certainly rise above their circumstances.

Free admission (love offering taken on night). Please email Liz McNamee for further enquiries.
