Winter School this year will offer four excellent opportunities to explore and grow your faith. All courses are just $30 (to cover costs) and most start this week.

• ‘Science and Faith’ with Roger Bain. Wednesday 13th July –Wednesday 3rd August 7.30pm – 9pm
• ‘My Story, God’s Story’ with Dorothy and George Mathieson. Wednesday 13th July – Wednesday 27th July – 7:30pm -9pm.
• ‘Imago Dei... Living into the Image of God’ with Graham Leo. Saturday August 27th and Saturday September 3rd from 2:30-5:30pm

New Sermon Series Begins

On July 4 we started two new sermon series in our morning and evening services. In the morning we will be working our way through Paul’s amazing letter to the Ephesians in a series called ‘How then shall we live?’ At 12two (6pm), we will be reflecting on what it means to swim upstream in our culture in a series called ‘Veto’. Singleness in the Church Conference

To be single in the Church can often be seen as a disease - “That person is single, what’s wrong with them?” This event aims to create a space where our thinking about this issue can be broadened, as we have an in-depth look at what it means to be Christian and single, and how the Church can cater for and respond to this issue more effectively.

The conference will be held on the 17th July, 2011, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at Southport Church of Christ and the cost is $10. Taryn Rose & Brendan Burgess will be the Guest Speakers. More info here.

Newlife Men's Camp Weekend

For men, life is full of challenges. And so it should be. Men are called to lead at home, in the workplace and in church. It’s time for men to step up and meet head-on, the challenges life projects.
At Challenge 2011 we will discover together how God is calling us to step up! We welcome all men 18 years old and over.

The Camp will be held at Camp Drewe, Lennox Head (A map will be supplied to all who register) on the 29-31 July, 2011, from 8pm on Friday night till 2pm on Sunday afternoon. The cost is $120 ($50 deposit required to confirm your spot) which includes all meals (excluding Friday dinner), accommodation and activities. For more info contact Lyndon on 5578 9322.

Women's Retreat

All Newlife Women are invited to date claim Friday 30th Sept for dinner and Sat 1 October for a day retreat. Karen Wilson will be our speaker and we will enjoy a wonderful day of teaching, friendship and fun. Details coming soon!
